Styria – Austria’s historic heart
Styria, the first province of the federal state of Austria, was founded over 800 years ago. Styria’s main feature is that it’s the most forested area of Austria and therefore a very significant wood producer. 3/4 of Austria’s apples are harvested in Styria and 25% of Austria’s beer is brewed here. No other province is has such a rich variety of landscapes from Alpine glaciers to the wine country.
